This time of year there’s usually only one thing on my mind and that’s Thanksgiving, and that only means one thing…Turkey!! To help get myself in the mood I thought I’d kick of the month of October with some good ole’ American Turkey Jerky. Since I’m also feeling a bit adventurous I also thought I’d go for some with some Teriyaki Flavoring. Please welcome this weeks spotlight, Jerky.com Teriyaki Turkey Jerky.
As you probably know by now, one thing that Jerky.com has managed to do well is make a (more…)

The search for an all-natural beef jerky that doesn’t have added preservatives or MSG can be a hard one…this comes from personal experience. While many might claim this, all you have to do is to look at the list of ingredients and if you can’t pronounce it then it’s probably an additive. Jerky.com’s lineup of jerky, including this week’s Jerky Spotlight: Jerky.com Sweet and Spicy Beef Jerky is exactly what you might have been looking for.

What better way to spice things up than to experience a Buffalo Bills mainstay since 1999. That’s right, it’s time to voice our opinion of the Cajun Western Cut beef jerky and explain once and for all the difference between the Western Cut and the Country Cut for all of you still scratching your heads.

For a family owned company that’s been producing premium steaks and quality gourmet products since 1917, Omaha Steaks always carries large expectations with every product they make. So it’s no surprise that their beef jerky would get a lot of attention from us and be put to the test in this week’s jerky spotlight. After all, the consumers are the only opinions that matter.
Like many of their other products, Omaha Steaks’ beef jerky appears to be a quality product from what I can tell by reading the ingredients and the nutritional information. The Original Bold Flavor as they like to call it is as simple of a recipe as (more…)

One thing that I’ve noticed that Buffalo Bills does well at is providing a great selection of flavors. From 3 flavors of their ‘Dead Meat’ to a whopping 10 flavors of their infamous beef sticks…the Ole’ Smokies. Introduced to appeal to both kids and grown-ups alike, these flavorful meat snacks have more than made their mark on the meat snack category. Especially today’s Spotlight, the Jalapeno and Cheese flavor.
Unlike a lot of other beef sticks on the market the Ole’ Smokies are made from 100% U.S grown beef and contains zero (more…)

Another one of the many varieties of “steak snacks” courtesy of Remington Trail Steaks is that of Turkey. I know “turkey steak snacks” sounds a little funny, but bare with me on this one. Turkey snacks are the second most in demand jerky type behind beef and appeal to many people because of there nutritious value. The Honey BBQ Smoked Turkey snacks are a good representative of how Remington has taken a traditional jerky product and helped transformed it into a tender meat snack that apparently appeals to enough people to keep the lights on.
