It wasn't salty or hard and tough and flavorful. In the future I plan on purchasing the other Jerky products. Also it was shipped promply.

When I opened the package of gary west buffalo strips, I was suprised to see such small bites of jerky. I was worried that being so small would make the jerky overly tough, but luckily I wasnt 100% right. The small pieces are nice to chew on, but did have a somewhat tough texture to them. I think the fact that they are made from buffalo [a known soft meat], helps them to stay in the middle as far as the toughness scale goes. The meat tastes good, is very lean, and keeps a good after taste in your mouth. You can definetly taste the flavor with this product, though it does kind of mask the taste of the meat itself. I give this jerky a 6 out of 10. The flavor should appeal to everyone, and though the tougher texture may chase some away, I definetly would put it on my list to try at some point.
