When I opened the package of gary west buffalo strips, I was suprised to see such small bites of jerky. I was worried that being so small would make the jerky overly tough, but luckily I wasnt 100% right. The small pieces are nice to chew on, but did have a somewhat tough texture to them. I think the fact that they are made from buffalo [a known soft meat], helps them to stay in the middle as far as the toughness scale goes. The meat tastes good, is very lean, and keeps a good after taste in your mouth. You can definetly taste the flavor with this product, though it does kind of mask the taste of the meat itself. I give this jerky a 6 out of 10. The flavor should appeal to everyone, and though the tougher texture may chase some away, I definetly would put it on my list to try at some point.

This is great jerky! It is not to dry and it is not to moist. It has a wonderful spices and flavor that is very enjoyable. I would reccomend this everytime.

Absolutely the BEST Buffalo jerky I've ever tasted. I'm one of four siblings, the only girl and the oldest. When my brothers come to my house [all 6'3" tall] they go through my frig and pantry to see what I have to eat [they're always hungry]. I have to hide the jerky or take some to my office to insure I get a share. I don’t want to deny my baby brothers of food, but a Sister has to do what a Sister has to do! I'm ordering a lot more today so I can share without worry. I'm glad I found jerky.com!!!
